Located in the heart of Historic Downtown Pineville, Aura & Ember invites you to discover the art of fragrance creation through our Perfume & Cologne Making Workshop.
During this immersive 90-minute experience, you’ll create, name, and bottle a fragrance that is uniquely yours. Explore a curated collection of premium, clean fragrance oils while learning how top, heart, and base notes work together to create a beautifully balanced scent.
Guided by an Aura & Ember fragrance specialist, you’ll discover your personal scent preferences, learn the fundamentals of fragrance composition, and blend a custom perfume or cologne from start to finish.
Each guest will leave with a custom 15ml fragrance, professionally labeled and crafted exclusively by them.

Whether you’re designing a fragrance for yourself, celebrating a milestone, creating a meaningful gift, or simply looking for a luxury experience unlike anything else near Charlotte, this session is thoughtfully tailored entirely to you.
Unlike standard fragrance workshops, this experience allows time to refine, adjust, and perfect your fragrance profile while exploring Aura & Ember’s curated library of elevated fragrance notes, accords, and blending materials. Throughout the session, founder Christi Kisela personally guides you through the fragrance development process, helping you create a scent that feels intentional, layered, wearable, and uniquely personal.
Your fragrance journey continues beyond the session itself. Each custom formula is professionally documented, refined, and preserved exclusively for you, allowing for future reorders and additional products in your signature scent. Following your session, your fragrance undergoes additional scaling, maturation, and performance testing to ensure it performs beautifully both on the skin and within home fragrance applications.

Join us at Aura & Ember for a guided candle-pouring experience where you’ll explore our fragrance collection and create a custom scent from the notes you love most.
We’ll guide you through fragrance selection and blending before you measure, mix and pour your own candle. Whether you gravitate toward fresh and clean, warm and woody, sweet and cozy, floral, fruity—or something completely unexpected—your finished candle will be uniquely yours.
